Sunway Healthcare & Visviva
Since 2024, Visviva Media has been working closely with Sunway Healthcare Group’s Clinical Research Centre to bring clarity, warmth, and trust to the way research is communicated.
In healthcare, facts alone are not enough — the human story behind the science matters just as much. Our role has been to bridge that gap, crafting content that not only informs but also resonates. We collaborate with Sunway’s researchers, clinicians, and leadership to understand the essence of each project, from groundbreaking clinical trials to behind-the-scenes innovations that improve patient care.
Through careful scripting, authentic interviews, and thoughtful cinematography, we transform technical research into compelling narratives that connect with patients, medical professionals, and the wider community. Each production is approached with the precision of a research paper and the empathy of a patient conversation — ensuring every message is accurate, engaging, and aligned with Sunway Healthcare Group’s vision of advancing medical excellence.
Our partnership is more than content creation; it’s about shaping a voice for research that inspires confidence. Together, we are building a library of credible, memorable stories that reflect Sunway Clinical Research Centre’s dedication to science, innovation, and the lives it touches.
Sister Khaw’s story is one of courage and generosity. As a Phase-3 clinical trial participant at Sunway Clinical Research Centre, she spoke with honesty and warmth about her journey — the uncertainties, the trust, and the hope she carried while battling Stage-4 cancer. Her words remind us that behind every trial is a human story of resilience and dignity. Her contribution remains invaluable, shedding light on the human side of research. Guided by Dato’ Dr Chang Kian Meng’s leadership, this collaboration highlights how science and compassion together shape the future of healthcare.
Building Awareness for Phase-1: Visviva & Sunway Clinical Research Centre
Sunway Clinical Research Centre (SCRC) is in the midst of preparing for its first Phase-1 clinical trial, with application steps ahead. This follows a landmark MoU between Sunway Medical Centre (Sunway City) and the Ministry of Health’s National Institutes of Health, making it the first private hospital in Malaysia to formalise such a partnership for Phase-1 research.
As this historic initiative unfolds, Visviva is partnering with Dr Hoh Hong Huat and the SCRC team to create awareness around Phase-1 — a stage often misunderstood as purely experimental, yet vital for establishing safety and enabling medical breakthroughs.
Our role is to translate the complexity of early-phase research into messages that patients, families, and the wider community can trust and relate to. By focusing on education, storytelling, and accessibility, this collaboration seeks to build understanding and confidence in Phase-1 participation, where science meets humanity and the future of healthcare begins.
